The Preschool Graduate!

Jared graduated from preschool today! Yay Jared! He has grown so much these past few months since starting at Porter Preschool. I think something clicked inside him in January, he finally realized he'd better learn this stuff if he wants to go to Kindergarten!
We're so proud of him!
This is his class singing the "Old woman who swallowed a fly" song.

Jared and his teacher Ms. Becky

The class sang the alphabet in sign language

They sang a few really cute songs about the days of the week, the months of the year and recycling

He's so cute!

Gila Valley Temple

The McBride family, minus a few, met at the Gila Valley Temple yesterday to walk through the Open House. This was a wonderful, fantastic experience. Both Scott and I have family history in the Gila Valley. They've prayed for a Temple there for so long. Our daughter is burried in the Thatcher cemetary there in the Gila Valley, along with my grandparents. It touched my heart to know that there was a Temple so close to where her body is waiting to be resurrected. And it's because we have Temples on the Earth that our family will be together again someday. I know that even though we don't have Aubrey, Abigail and Mark with us here on this Earth, they are still part of our family and we will be reunited again. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ!

In this picture: 3 of Scott's sisters and their families, Scott's grandparents and parents, and us!

Doesn't my sister-in-law look beautiful in this picture?

After visiting the Temple, we all went to the cemetary to visit Aubrey's grave and see her new headstone
I got to buy something pink for my little girl!

School Talent Show

Brad and some of his friends danced in the school talent show to "Surfin Safari." They did such an awesome job! I love that he's not embarrased to do things like this. He loves putting on a good show!

Ward Talent Show

Our ward had a Talent Show Saturday night. The activity was fabulous. The Activity's Committee did a great job, the food was good and the night went off without a hitch. Well, 1 hitch, we forgot to video tape Bradley's piano performance. He played 2 songs and didn't mess up once.
Great job Brad!!!

Father & Son's Outing

Scott was brave and took all 3 of our boys on Father & Son's outing this year. The boys were so excited for "boys camp!"

Unfortunately, it had snowed the night before at the location they were camping, so it was really cold! Jack had a misserable time which meant that Scott had a misserable time.

I, on the other hand, had a fabulous time! I rented some movies that I've been wanting to watch that I knew Scott wouldn't enjoy. Had a nice salad for dinner. Slept in the next morning and watched a "girlie" move that was on tv Saturday morning. I didn't do any cleaning and had a nice rest. Can't wait for next year!

Disneyland!!!

Thanks to Disney's "Give a Day, Get a Day" program, I got us 3 free tickets to Disneyland. Participants had to be 6 yrs or older, so we had to pay for Jared's ticket. We decided to do a quick trip and keep it as cheap as we could.
Scott and I wanted to surprise the boys, so we didn't tell them we were going. We put them to bed the night before, preparing them for the next day at school. Then we dragged the kids out of bed at 3 am Thursday morning, April 22nd. Actually, we thought we'd be dragging them, but I think they new something was up because they surprisingly bounced out of bed. When I woke Jared up, the first thing he said was, "Are we going to Disneyland?" I could not believe he would guess that! I told him he'd have to wait and see.
So we got all 3 boys in the van and asked Brad, if he could go anywhere in the world today, where would he want to go. He answered, "Disneyland." So Scott and I said, "Ok, let's go!"
We drove straight there and got to Disneyland a little after it opened, around 9:15 am. The day was wonderful! The boys had a blast, and so did Scott and I.
Jack's favorite was the characters. He loved giving hugs to all his friends and wasn't shy at all.
Jared loved the Star Tours ride. That was his favorite. "It was so cute!"
Brad's favorite was the Rocky Mountain Railroad. He got to ride all the "big kid" rides twice, once with Dad and then again with Mom. Lucky kid!
And of course, all 3 boys loved the Buzz Lightyear ride. We rode that one 3 times, until Mom had had enough.
We spent the whole day there, until around 8:30 pm, when Jack fell asleep in my arms and Brad and Jared were too tired to walk any further. That night, we slept in a hotel down the street from Disneyland, then came home the next day. Quick trip, but oh so much fun!
