Our favorite thing to do this summer was to go swimming. We went swimming at least 4 days a week at different places. This morning we went swimming at our good friend's house, the Eager's. Here's video of Bradley and Jared jumping off the diving board

My 3 babies
Quite often, when Jack wakes up and I can't get to him right away, I'll send the boys in to play with him until I can get there. Here's what I usually find:

All 3 of my babies are in the crib.
Why can I never get all 3 of them to smile at one time!
Jack's 1st steps
Less than a week away from his 1st birthday, Jack is practicing walking. He's pretty close!

Jared, Bradley and I went to Lowe's on Saturday morning and built Dune Buggy's. Bradley learned a valuable lesson on following the directions. He kept telling me that he knew how to put it together, even though I kept telling him he'd better follow the directions. After a few minutes he realized that he needed help and the directions. So we built these together. The boys had a great time and it was absolutely free! Thank you Lowe's! Here's what we built:

They each got a certificate, a patch, a pair of goggles and a Lowe's apron to keep, as well as their Dune buggy!

Water babies!
The boys and I took swim lessons at our community pool during the month of June. Jack and I were in the "Mom & Me" class. All 4 of us did great! The older boys loved going off the diving board and going down the water slide! Jack and I tried the water slide once and I think he liked it.
Bradley's teacher remembers our first summer taking lessons when Bradley was 3 and hated to put his head under the water. She (and me too!) was so proud of him that he could now do several different strokes.
I really wanted Jared to learn to swim this summer and he did! I think he also was his teacher's favorite. One class Jared was the only kid! If Jared had the confidence, he could swim all over the place, but he's a little scared. He prefers using his innertube. But he can swim! When I make him!
Jack has gotten really good at putting his head under the water. I always count to 3 when I dunk him and when I get to 3 he closes his eyes and gets ready! When he comes up, he's not gagging, so I know he's holding his breath. Jack loves the water. A lot of times while I am holding him in the water he's kicking me trying to get away so he can go swim. When we were swimming at a friend's pool the other day, she has a good area in her pool that is chest high on Jack. I was letting him walk around in that area, the water helps support him. A few times he would fall in and be under water for a few seconds until I could get to him. When I would pull him up he'd have a huge grin on his face! He wasn't the slightest bit scared.

Sorry, no pics of Jack, I can't take pictures of him while I'm holding him in the water for fear that my camera will get dreanched!!
Ward dance
I am the Activities Chair-person in our ward and Scott is on the committee! I do love this calling. Probably my favorite thing about it is that I get to go to church on Sunday and attend my meetings without having to worry about teaching a lesson. Except that I've been substituting in Primary a lot, but I love that too because I'm helping out my friends. And my children are young enough that they still like to have me around. Bradley loves for me to substitute his class.
We had a ward dance in June and had a great time. There wasn't a huge turn-out, but that made it nice because we felt like we could be silly and have fun without worrying what others were thinking. Here are some pics from that night.

I love this boy!

This picture is the background on my computer! I love it so much! We think Jack will be our crazy kamikaze boy. Already he is tougher than the other 2 and a lot more mischievous.
When Bradley was born, Scott couldn't wait until he was old enough to wrestle with him. That is something he always loved doing with his Dad! Bradley has been wrestling with his Dad for as long as I remember and when Jared came into our family, he didn't have a problem joining in. Ever since Jack learned how to crawl, he can't be left out. If the older boys start wrestling with Dad, oh boy, Jack gets the biggest grin on his face and takes off as fast as he can to join in. He loves it!!
Another thing I love about Jack is he sleeps with a stuffed bear. My doctor sent us flowers with a little, blue stuffed bear and we put it in Jack's bed. He actually wraps his arm around it when he sleeps, so cute!!
Jackie isn't walking yet, but he wants to really bad. He loves to practice! He can take a couple of steps before he totally loses balance and falls to the floor.

I've been tagged!
This was actually kind of fun. I was greatful that I actually had cleaned my sink right before I checked my email and found out that I'd been tagged. And I'm not really one of those people who is terribly embarrased by a messy house. No big deal, right? It just means that I've been spending more time with my kids than cleaning! Here are the rules:
You are supposed to take pictures of the following things just as they are - no stopping to clean, straighten, or to wipe a child's nose: The kitchen sink, the fridge, the toilet, the closet, the laundry room, your favorite shoes, your favorite room, and your kiddies (or pets). No cheating! Here are my pics:

My fridge:

My toilet, actually the boys' toilet, it's prettier:
My closet:
My laundrey room:
I don't have a favorite pair of shoes, but these are the newest. I love the white on my tanned feet! And I love that they were only $1 from Old Navy!
My favorite room, my bedroom, of course!
My 3 boys! Our friend Luke came over to play for the day. We love when Luke comes over, he plays well with both Jared and Bradley so they both feel like they have a friend and no one is the 3rd wheel.
